Oscar Corrochano (born September 6, 1976 in Hanau ) is a former German - Spanish soccer player and today's coach .

Career as a player

Corrochano moved from VfB 06 Großauheim to the offspring Eintracht Frankfurt in 1992 . From 1995 he was regularly used in Frankfurt's second team in the regional league and the major league . His only game as a professional he made on June 11, 1997 on the last day of the 1996/97 season in an away win at bottom of the table VfB Oldenburg . From 1999 several stations followed in lower class teams, including at SV Darmstadt 98 and Kickers Offenbach . Corrochano ended his active career in 2006 with a brief stint at SG Bruchköbel .

Career as a coach

After his active career, Corrochano took over the training of the Eintracht youngsters. He initially looked after the U-16 team and then from 2008 to the beginning of 2010 the U-19s in Frankfurt. From February 2010 Corrochano was the coach of the 2nd team of Eintracht and also completed his training as a football teacher in Cologne from June 2011, alongside other former professionals such as Stefan Effenberg and Mehmet Scholl . During his presence there, Daniyel Cimen took his place .

For the 2012/13 season he moved to the second division SSV Jahn Regensburg as head coach with a contract term until 2014 . After nine points from twelve games and most recently four games without a win in a row, which meant 15th place in the table, Oscar Corrochano was suspended on November 4, 2012 due to unsuccessfulness. Since February 1, 2013, he has been Rainer Adrion's assistant coach for the German U-21 national team , and supervised the selection at the 2013 European Championship . After the disappointing preliminary round and the dismissal of Adrion, Corrochano's work at the DFB also ended . He returned to Eintracht Frankfurt in September 2013 , where he worked as an assistant trainer under Armin Veh and was dismissed at the end of June 2014 after separating from Veh. Between 2015 and 2016 he coached the U18 and later the U19 of Hungary .

On October 3, 2016, Corrochano took over the coaching position at Eintracht Trier . On April 11, 2017, the regional league team and Corrochano separated by mutual agreement after the club's board did not want to support the suspension of a player by Corrochano. On July 14, 2017, Corrochano became the new coach of third division SF Lotte while preparing for the new 2017/18 season , where he succeeded Ismail Atalan, who had changed at short notice . However, just 13 days later, on July 27, 2017, he resigned after the first day of the season.
