Ostheim is a district of the town of Hofheim in Lower Franconia in the Lower Franconian district of Haßberge in northern Bavaria .
Geography and transport links
The place is about 2 km south of Hofheim in Lower Franconia on the Aurach , a left tributary of the Nassach , which flows past the northeastern outskirts. The state road St 2281 and the district road HAS 7 cross the village. Federal highway 303 runs not far to the north .
history
Ostheim goes back to the year 1231. In 1675 a chapel was built on the road to Rügheim . The St. Nicholas Church with a so-called Welschen Dome was built in 1725. The former municipality was incorporated into Hofheim as part of the municipal reform in 1975.
