Oswald Eccher from Eccho Edler von Marienberg (born September 28, 1866 in Mezzocorona ; † December 11, 1935 in Innsbruck ), Austro-Hungarian colonel , 1918 regional commander of Tyrol , 1920 major general .

Life

After studying law in Innsbruck from 1885 to 1890, he attended the Theresian Military Academy in Wiener Neustadt and was retired as a lieutenant in 1892 for Infantry Regiment No. 97 in Pola ( Istria ).

In 1893 he received his doctorate in law and after a stay in Trieste he attended the war school in Vienna to become first lieutenant . The year 1899 saw him as a general staff officer in Lemberg ; In 1900 he was transferred as a captain to Infantry Regiment No. 33 in Arad . In 1906 he returned to Innsbruck to teach at the cadet school . As early as 1910 he became major and chief of staff in Cattaro and in 1913 Lieutenant Colonel i.G.St. and commander of the kuk hunter battalion "Kopal" No. 10 in Vigo di Fassa ( Trentino-South Tyrol ).
