Otto Fiederling

Otto Fiederling (born November 30, 1892 in Biebrich ; † February 21, 1972 in Salisbury (Maryland) ) was a German architect and lecturer at the Technical University of Hanover .

Life

Fiederling studied at the Technical University of Karlsruhe , where he graduated in 1920 and was assistant for (interior and garden) architecture from 1920 to 1926. From 1921 to 1926 he also worked in Max Laeuger's studio , where he received his doctorate in 1929. In 1924 he received the title of government master builder. He worked for a short time in the building authorities of the cities of Aachen and Harburg . In 1930 he was appointed full professor for design and spatial art at the Technical University of Hanover. At the same time he became a member of the Hannoversche Bauhütte . In November 1933 he signed the German professors' confession of Adolf Hitler . From 1941 to 1945 he planned the city expansion of Cuxhaven . From 1947 to 1957 he planned the reconstruction of the Clemenskirche in Hanover. In 1960 he retired .
