Oussama Nabil gained his first experience at international championships in 2013 at the World Youth Championships in Donetsk , where he finished sixth in the 800-meter run in 1: 50.28 minutes. The following year he took part in the 1500 meter run at the Junior World Championships in Eugene , but retired there with 3: 49.49 minutes in the first round. At the 2015 World Cross Country Championships in Guiyang , he reached 73rd place in the U20 rankings after 26:56 minutes. He then finished fourth in the 800 meters and 1500 meters at the Junior African Championships in Addis Ababa in 1: 51.28 minutes in 3: 49.47 min sixth place. In 2016 he finished fourth at the U23 Mediterranean Championships in Tunis in 1: 48.42 minutes, as well as at the Islamic Solidarity Games the following year in Baku in 1: 46.68 minutes. He then won the Arab Championships in Radès in 1: 47.24 min over 800 meters and was fourth over 1500 meters in 3: 53.31 min. This was followed by another victory over 800 meters at the Francophonie Games in Abidjan in 1: 46.14 minutes. In 2019 he retired at the Arab Championships in Cairo with 1: 50.10 min in the preliminary round. He then took part in the Africa Games in Rabat for the first time , where he won the bronze medal in 1: 45.42 minutes behind the Tunisians Abdessalem Ayouni and Cornelius Tuwei from Kenya. He also qualified for the World Championships in Doha , where he was disqualified in the semifinals .
