Owen Patrick Joyner (born July 19, 2000 in Norman , Oklahoma ) is an American child actor who achieved international fame through his leading role as Christian "Crispo" Powers in the Nickelodeon teen sitcom 100 Things by High School .

life and career

Owen Joyner was born on July 19, 2000 in the city of Norman, around 35 km south of Oklahoma City , as the son of Mike Joyner and Dinah Joyner (former Blohm-Joyner, now Joyner-Gantz) and grew up here with his three siblings Hannah, Hayden and Luka up. While Luka, the eldest of the four children, and Owen have the same father, the two youngest children, Hannah and Hayden, come from the mother's later relationship with Ryan Curtis Gantz.

His mother Dinah comes from Hamburg , where she graduated from the state commercial school and business school in Wendenstrasse before emigrating to the United States. After graduating from the University of Oklahoma Graduate School , she attended a nursing school at Oklahoma City Community College and then worked for Floran Technologies Inc. in Oklahoma City.

Owen he grew up speaking German as well as English . He got into acting by chance while watching a friend's performance at the Sooner Theater , where he got the attention of a theater director who invited him to audition for his next production. After he was accepted for the said role, although he did not want to appear in the casting himself, he began to act in various local plays and musicals. He played the role of Nate Jonas in the Sooner Theater in the musical Camp Rock or was seen as Tom Marlowe in the musical Good News . He had other appearances as a singer and dancer in a Christmas show organized by the Oklahoma City Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra or was seen as Tin Man in a production of The Wizard of Oz .

With the Young Producers he also played in the two plays How to succeed… and Urinetown and was seen in the role of Brandon in Roommates by Cast & Crew Productions . He made a commercial for the Oklahoma Department of Tourism and Recreation with the local film production company Epoxy Films from Broken Arrow , Oklahoma . After finding an agent, he came to Los Angeles to focus on his upcoming career in film and television, and in the process was booked for high school after successfully casting for the Nickelodeon teen sitcom 100 Things . In the series by Scott Fellows , who also created other later Nickelodeon productions such as Ned's ultimate school madness , Johnny Test or Big Time Rush , he plays the leading role of Christian "Crispo" Powers at the side of Isabela Moner as CJ Martin and Jaheem Toombs as Fenwick Frazier in appearance. During his time on the set of 100 Things to High School , Joyner, himself still a student, is not exempt from class, but learns online between scenes through the Connections Academy program .
