Pär Johan Åke Hansson (born June 22, 1986 in Vejbystrand , Ängelholm ) is a Swedish football player . The goalkeeper , who won the Swedish championship title and the national cup with Helsingborgs IF , played through several Swedish youth national teams and made his debut in the senior national team in 2011 . The following year he was the third goalkeeper in the squad at the 2012 European Championship .

Career

Hansson started playing football at Vejbyslätts IF . He started out as an attacking midfielder before stepping into goal as a young teenager. In 2001 he moved to the youth department of Helsingborgs IF . There he qualified for the Swedish U-16 selection and established himself in the squad of the junior national team.

2006 Hansson first moved up in the first division squad of Helsingborgs IF, due to the competitive situation for the goalkeeper place in the Allsvenskan , the club decided before the start of the season to give him to Ängelholms FF in the third division 1 . After his return after a season he trained as the third goalkeeper behind Daniel Andersson and Oskar Berglund again in the spring with the team and came to friendly matches when the two competitors were injured, but the club was planning another loan deal. Hansson returned to Ängelholms FF on loan and helped the club to rise to the Superettan in 2007 as runner-up . At the same time, he made the leap into the Swedish U-21 national team . In June he was part of the squad for the first time in the 0-0 draw against the Swiss U-21s , in the 3: 4 defeat against the Welsh youth team on August 21, he made his debut as a substitute in the second half when he played Johan Dahlin replaced. After the loan agreement with Ängelholms FF had been extended again, he was a long-runner in the second division: he was used in all 30 games of the season and did not miss a minute.

Before the first division season 2009 Hansson returned to Helsingborgs IF. Shortly before the start of the season, coach Bo Nilsson decided to make him the first goalkeeper. He played all twelve games until the summer break. At the end of May, the supervisors of the Swedish U-21 national team, Tommy Söderberg and Jörgen Lennartsson, appointed him alongside his club mates Joel Ekstrand and Andreas Landgren to the squad for the U-21 European Championship finals in their own country in the summer. As a substitute, he remained without use when the selection team moved into the semi-finals, where they were eliminated by England .

In the first division season in 2010 he played all 30 league games and was therefore instrumental in ensuring that the team , led by Conny Karlsson , led by Erik Edman , Hannu Patronen , Mattias Lindström and Alexander Gerndt , who was obliged in the summer, was in the championship race until the last match day. Ultimately, however, he had to be content with the runner-up behind Malmö FF , but the year was not without a title win. A week after the end of the season, the team met in the cup final on the second division Hammarby IF , who were defeated 1-0 by a goal from Rasmus Jönsson . Through his performance, he had also played his way into the notebook of national coach Erik Hamrén , who nominated him for the January tour of the senior national team to South Africa. On January 19, 2011, he made his debut in a 2-1 win over the Botswana national team in the national jersey .

In the following season, Hansson was one of the guarantors for one of the most successful years in the club's history, which was marked by the triple win , not least as team captain . After the first title was won in the spring with the Supercup , two more titles followed with the seventh championship title in the club's history and the title defense in the national cup. He was on the field in the finals as well as in all 30 league games. The following spring he was part of the squad again at the opening matches of the national team. Still an undisputed regular in goal, he played all twelve league games for his club until the summer break, before national coach Erik Hamrén appointed him as a substitute goalkeeper in his 23-player squad for the European Championships in Poland and Ukraine, where he is one of three players active in Sweden .
