Paddock Park is a post-hardcore band from Jacksonville , Florida, founded in 2007 .
They broke up in 2009 and reunited in October 2016.
history
The band consisted of the musicians Jason Neil ( vocals ), John Copeland ( guitar , vocals), Tim Brant (guitar), Bobby Scruggs ( drums ), Sanders Dukes ( bass ) and Brian Calzini , who was already with Sleeping with Sirens and with A Day to Remember played. Calzini is the founder of the group We Are Defiance , which released their debut album Trust In Few on Tragic Hero Records in March 2011 .
In 2008 Paddock Park signed a recording deal with Eulogy Recordings ( Set Your Goals , Evergreen Terrace , Bury Your Dead , Walls of Jericho , On Broken Wings , I Killed the Prom Queen and more), where they released their debut album A Hiding Place For Fake Friends in 2008 . The album was produced by Tom Denney, a former musician of the band A Day to Remember . The lyrics were written by Brian Calzini. The album is available in Germany , Great Britain , the USA and Italy .
After a dispute with the band, lead singer Brian Calzini left the band during their US tour. Two days later he was followed by the second singer, who stated that he wanted to leave the band for personal reasons, so that the four of the band had to end their tour without a singer. Two weeks after this incident, the band broke up.
On October 14, 2016, it was announced that We Are Defiance would make their comeback. A concert has been announced for February 2017 that will also feature Paddock Park and celebrate their return to the music scene. However, Calzini announced that he did not plan to work with the band's former musicians, but instead wanted to trade with the musicians of his band We Are Defiance under the name Paddock Park .
