Palmeira , officially Portuguese Município de Palmeira , is a medium-sized city in the Brazilian state of Paraná . It is 70 km from the capital Curitiba and is heavily influenced by immigrants. According to the 2010 census, the population was 32,123, as of July 1, 2019, the population was estimated at 33,877, who live in a community area of around 1470 km² and are called the Palmeirenser.
