The men's decathlon at the 2011 Pan American Games took place on October 24th and 25th, 2011 at the Telmex Athletics Stadium in Guadalajara .

14 athletes from nine countries took part in the competition. Leonel Suárez won the gold medal with 8374 points, which was also a new rekoard of the Pan American Games. Silver went to Maurice Smith with 8214 points and the bronze medal went to Yordani Garcia with 8074 points.
