The men's 3000 meter obstacle course at the 2011 Pan American Games took place on October 28, 2011 at the Telmex Athletics Stadium in Guadalajara .

Twelve athletes from nine countries took part in the competition. The gold medal was won by José Peña after 8: 48.19 minutes, silver went to Hudson de Souza with 8: 48.75 minutes and the bronze medal was secured by José Alberto Sánchez with 8: 49.75 minutes.
