The women's 5,000-meter run at the 2011 Pan American Games took place on October 27 at the Telmex Athletics Stadium in Guadalajara .

Twelve athletes from seven countries took part in the competition. The gold medal was won by Marisol Romero after 16: 24.08 min, silver went to Cruz da Silva with 16: 29.75 min and the bronze medal went to Inés Melchor with 16: 41.50 min.
