Passau Oberland
The Passau Oberland is an ILEK region in the Passau district north of the Danube .
location
With its location north of the Danube, the ILE area is part of the natural area of the Bavarian Forest . The individual municipalities are mainly located between the Danube and the Ilz . The region is accessible via the BAB 3 , the motorway feeder, the federal highways B 12 and B 85, the Passau Railway and the Regensburg – Passau railway , the Rottalbahn and the Ilztalbahn . The Passau Oberland is the link between the university town of Passau and the Bavarian Forest. The region is characterized by the landscape of the forest , the natural area of the Ilz and a cultural history of over 1000 years on the trading route network of the Goldene Steige .
founding
The voluntary amalgamation of ten communities in the northern district of Passau to form the ILE Passauer Oberland has existed since 2010. The ILE Passauer Oberland is supported by the Office for Rural Development of Lower Bavaria , based in Landau a. d. Isar.
Communities
The ILE Passauer Oberland includes the communities of Aicha vorm Wald , Büchlberg , Fürstenstein , Neukirchen vorm Wald , Ruderting , Salzweg , Tiefenbach and Witzmannsberg as well as the two market communities Eging a.See and Tittling .
