After further solo attempts, Watson formed a four-piece band consisting of Simon Angell ( guitar , banjo ), Mishka Stein ( bass ) and Robbie Kuster ( drums ) as lead singer , pianist and keyboardist . In the studio and on tour, Patrick Watson has worked with John Cale , The Cinematic Orchestra , Amon Tobin , The Dears , Philip Glass , The Stills , Feist and James Brown , among others .

For published in May 2007 album Ma Fleur by The Cinematic Orchestra Patrick Watson wrote four tracks for which he also vocals took ( To Build a Home , Music Box , Into You and That Home ). His Missing You remix of Guy Doune , a track by the electro musician Champion , had chart successes in Canada.

Brett Novak (filmmaker) and Kilian Martin (skater) used the song Fireweed from the album Wooden Arms as the soundtrack for the video Kilian Martin: A Skate Regeneration .
