Paul Blackthorne
Paul Blackthorne (born March 5, 1969 in Wellington , Shropshire ) is a British actor in film, television and radio.
Life
Blackthorne spent his early childhood at various military bases in England and Germany. He made his first acting experience as a teenager in performances at the National Youth Music Theater . There he worked in the production The Leaving of Liverpool , which was shown at the Edinburgh Festival and in London's West End . He later appeared in The Ragged Child and made a guest appearance with this production at the Bergen International Festival. In the mid-1990s he starred at the Nottingham Playhouse in the play Suddenly Last Summer by Tennessee Williams .
Blackthorne then initially starred in some television commercials . He also worked as a spokesman for radio advertising . Blackthorne played the character of Captain Russell in the Indian film Lagaan - Once Upon a Time in India , nominated for the Oscar for “Best Foreign Language Film” . He studied Hindi for six months for the role .
In the German-speaking media landscape, he gained attention through the series Lipstick Jungle . There he plays the husband of Wendy Healy ( Brooke Shields ). In 2004 he played the role of Stephen Saunders in series 24 . In 2007/2008 he played the leading role of the magician Harry Dresden in the crime and fantasy series The Dresden Files . In addition to CSI: Miami and Monk, he appeared in many other television series. From 2012 to 2018 Blackthorne played the role of Quentin Lance in the Arrow series . In the computer game Star Wars: Battlefront II , he gave the character Gideon Hask his voice.
In addition to his work as an actor, Blackthorne also works as a photographer. His exhibition Delhi to Manhattan was shown from April to June 2009 at the Tibet House in New York City .
