Pekka Salminen (architect)
Pekka Einari Salminen (born August 11, 1937 in Tampere ) is a Finnish architect.
Life
Salminen studied architecture at the Technical University of Tampere and at the Technical University of Helsinki until 1966 .
In 1968 he founded the Pekka Salminen architecture office, later called PES - Architects , in Helsinki , which he leads and which employs around 70 people in 2016. In 2011, PES Architects opened an office in Shanghai .
In China, his office has won prizes in over 50 competitions, including first prize more than ten times.

- In 1986/87 he was president of the Finnish Association of Architects SAFA.
- He is a member of the Finnish Academy of Sciences .
- He is a member of the Chamber of Architects in Finland, Croatia and some German federal states.
