Peter Huchel Prize

The Peter Huchel Prize is a literary prize for poetry that has been awarded annually by the SWF since 1984 and by the SWR from 1999 onwards and by the state of Baden-Württemberg . In memory of Peter Huchel (1903–1981), the award goes to outstanding individual titles that contribute to the development of poetry in the German-speaking world. The award is endowed with 10,000 euros (as of 2020) and is presented annually on April 3, Huchel's birthday, in Staufen im Breisgau .
