Peter Dudzik

Peter Dudzik (born April 10, 1943 in Ratibor , Upper Silesia ) is a German foreign correspondent and television journalist .

Life

He found the beginning of journalism by working for the school newspaper. The actual vocational training took place at the German School of Journalism (DJS) in Munich. The practical experience with the teaching editorial team in Munich from 1965 to 1966 was a cornerstone for his professional future.

At the end of September 1973, a few days before the Yom Kippur War , Peter Dudzik conducted an interview with the then Defense Minister of Israel, Moshe Dayan, in kibbutz Ein Zivan on the Golan Heights .

Peter Dudzik was a long-time special correspondent for ARD in Tel-Aviv , headed the Tagesschau and Tagesthemen editorial team in Munich and moderated various special programs as ARD's Middle East correspondent. From 1974 to 1975 he was a foreign correspondent in Bosnia .

In From Toscanini to Bernstein , Peter Dudzik described the history (1936–1986) of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Israel in 1987 . He undertook a detailed analysis of the history of Czechoslovakia (1918–1988) in 1988 in the book 70 Years of ČSSR . He expanded this subject with the three-part show Chronicle of Czechoslovakia and the show Bridge in Prague , over the old Franz Joseph Bridge over the Vltava River in Prague .

In 1991 he received the Telestar television award for the ARD foreign studio in Vienna. In May 2002 he was awarded the Bavarian Television Prize (Der Blaue Panther) for his achievements on German television .

In December 2002 Peter Dudzik conducted an interview with the then President of Israel, Moshe Katzav , in Jerusalem . In 2007 he was a guest lecturer at the University of Film and Television (HFF for short) in Munich.

As a member of the jury, Peter Dudzik viewed around 200 films at the Leuphana University of Lüneburg in October 2010 and gave an interview for the local starting weekly newspaper . With Martin Berger , Kazimierz Kutz and Josef Cyrus , he is one of the filmmakers who come from Upper Silesia.
