Hertha BSC signed the talent from Zehlendorf for the 1972/73 round and Peter Hanisch tried the leap into the Bundesliga. Coach Helmut Kronsbein changed the newcomer on the first day of the match in the 2-3 home defeat against Fortuna Düsseldorf at the beginning of the second half. There were eight more missions in the round.
