Peter Itschert

Peter Marzellin Itschert (born December 21, 1860 in Vallendar ; † June 23, 1939 there ) was a lawyer and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Itschert attended elementary school in Vallendar and Ahrweiler , the grammar schools in Koblenz and Emmerich and the universities in Strasbourg and Bonn from 1880 to 1883. He became an active member of the Catholic student associations K.St.V. Frankonia-Strasbourg and K.St.V. Arminia Bonn in KV . In November 1883 he became a trainee lawyer and on July 27, 1889 a court assessor. He worked in Linz am Rhein , Bockenheim , Homburg vd H. and Frankfurt am Main . He was then from April 1, 1899 district judge in Frankfurt and district judge there from 1900 to 1908. Then he was until 1920 district court director in Berlin . In 1920 he became President of the Senate at the Reich Economic Court, which was responsible for disputes over state economic control and the transition from war economy to peace economy.

He served as a one-year volunteer in 1884/85 with the (then) 4th Queen Grenadier Regiment and was first lieutenant of Landwehr Infantry II and holder of the Landwehr service award .

politics

From 1903 to 1907 Itschert was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency administrative district Wiesbaden 1 (Obertaunus, Höchst, Usingen) and the German Center Party and from 1908 to 1918 a member of the Prussian House of Representatives . He won the Wiesbaden constituency in 1903 with a majority of only 439 votes ahead of the SPD candidate Friedrich Brühne , who then won the constituency in 1907.

In the Center Party, Itschert was an assessor on the party executive and was the accounting officer for the party finances.
