Petzelsdorf is a village and a cadastral municipality in the municipality of Purgstall an der Erlauf in the Scheibbs district in Lower Austria .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 129 building areas with 40,886 m² and 34 gardens on 83,782 m² in the cadastral community of Petzelsdorf , in 1989/1990 there were 136 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 259 and in 2009/2010 there were 195 buildings on 275 building areas.

Land use

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 603 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 70 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 594 hectares and 78 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 581 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 79 hectares. The average soil climate of Petzelsdorf is 44.3 (as of 2010).
