Sölling is a village and a cadastral municipality in the municipality of Purgstall an der Erlauf in Lower Austria .

The village south of Purgstall lies on the Erlauf and consists of the places Sölling, Sölling surrounding and other individual layers. The village was an independent municipality from 1950 and was incorporated into Purgstall at the end of the 1960s.

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 49 building areas with 18,395 m² and 8 gardens on 7,013 m² in the cadastral community of Sölling , in 1989/1990 there were 54 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 155 and in 2009/2010 there were 103 buildings on 184 building areas.

Land use

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 236 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 101 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 210 hectares and 123 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 199 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 124 hectares. Sölling's average soil climate is 35 (as of 2010).
