The Pfarrbach , also called Pfarrflössel , is a left-hand tributary of the Waltersdorfer Dorfbach with a length of approx. One and a half km in the municipality of Großschönau in the eastern Saxon district of Görlitz .

description

The stream rises on the eastern slope of the Weberberg ( 711  m nm ) in the Zittau Mountains . Its main source is the Weberborn, another source in ( 675  m ) is only occasionally water-bearing.

In a north-easterly direction, the Pfarrbach flows with a steep gradient on the Weberberg slope west of the ridge extending from Ottoberg ( 520  m ) over the Sängerhöhe ( 497  m ) to the Kirschhübel ( 442  m ). In this section it has the character of a mountain stream with a creek bed rich in blocks and suppressed vegetation.

The lower course of the Pfarrbach, artificially created in the second half of the 17th century, leads north of the Kirschhübels to the east. The brook used to feed the Waltersdorf mountain pool here, and the former outdoor pool in the school pond was abandoned in the 1990s. The Pfarrbach flows into Waltersdorf below the church in the Waltersdorfer Dorfbach .

Originally, the stream flowed in a swampy meadow east past Pilzdörfel and Herrenwalde to the north and was accompanied in the east by Plunderstraße . At that time it flowed west of Neuschönau above the Alte Landbrücke into the Lausur .
