The Roman Catholic parish church Neu-Guntramsdorf is located in Neu-Guntramsdorf in the market town of Guntramsdorf in Lower Austria . The parish church of St. Josef der Arbeiter belongs to the Mödling deanery in the Archdiocese of Vienna .

history

From 1938 the Neu-Guntramsdorf estate was built based on a concept by the architect Georg Laub . After the war, a makeshift wooden church was started at the settlement in 1948 as a branch of the Guntramsdorf parish church . From 1962 to 1965 the church and the parish center were built on the same place according to the plans of the architect Bruno Tinhofer. The church was consecrated on October 3, 1965 by the Archbishop-Coadjutor Franz Jachym and on January 1, 1966 it was raised to the status of an independent parish church.

The church is structurally a parish center with a church, chapel, steeple, parsonage and parsonage. The low building has an integrated church square that is open to the Neu-Guntramsdorf settlement. The church is a rectangular, strictly structured hall building with concrete beams and has horizontal slot windows in the entrance area as well as in the gallery area. The stained glass was created by Charlotte Klima. In the weekday chapel is a glass window by Walter Eckert .

Furnishing

The crucifix and the altarpiece Holy Family is by Charlotte Klima.
