architecture

Church exterior

The church has a square west tower without a floor division. Above it is a stone pyramid helmet with corner pyramids. The nave is compact and rectangular. In front of the south portal is a porch with a gable. The choir is long and drawn in. It's closed flat. There are buttresses at the corners . A sacristy annex adjoins the choir on the north side .

Church interior

Above the three-bay nave is a baroque barrel vault with stitch caps . The vault rests on mighty pilasters . The west gallery has a wide, protruding wooden parapet without supports. The triumphal arch is flat and rounded. There is a pointed barrel vault in the choir yoke; it is separated from the chancel with groin vaults by a wide belt that rests on consoles . It was added to the older choir as a tower substructure in the 14th century. In the side walls on the left there is a two-axis and on the right a three-axis round-arched sessio from the 13th century.

Furnishing

The high altar consists of a canteen with acanthus volutes from the 18th century. The structure dates from the middle of the 19th century. There is a segmented gable above the altar wall. The altarpiece represents Saint Mark. The picture is flanked by side figures of Saints Peter and Paul .

The remarkable side altars are late baroque and have the shape of niches with canopy-like tops. They were created between 1770 and 1780 in the corners of the triumphal arch. In the niche of the left side altar there is a figure of St. Mary , in that of the right altar there is a figure of St. Sebastian . The side figures represent St. Catherine and St. Florian . On the pulpit there are reliefs of the evangelists from the 19th century. The back wall and the sound cover are decorated with putti and date from the period between 1770 and 1780. There are also two Roman tombstones in the church, one with a relief of Hercules and the other with an inscription.
