history

In 1233 a parish was mentioned in a document. In 1564 there was a church fire. From 1612 to 1613 the church was rebuilt. The interior of the church was renewed around 1790. In 1929 there was a renovation.

architecture

The north-facing church, which is essentially Gothic, has a three-aisled nave with a retracted polygonal choir and a tower on the mountain side. The simple facade with a sloping base, coffin cornice and triangular pilaster strips with little gables has arched windows. The windows of the choir have a late Gothic structure from the end of the 15th century. The tower was designated 1613 and has ogival sound windows and a pointed gable helmet.

The interior of the church is shaped by the renovation around 1790. The originally single - nave four-bay nave with a Gothic cross vault is still preserved in the masonry. In the 17th or 18th century, the three southern bays with groin-vaulted side aisles to the hall church were extended to round arched arcades and a further southern gallery bay was added. The nave pillars and the aisle walls show fluted pilasters with Ionic capitals and battlements. The triumphal arch is rounded. The choir with a square yoke has a 3/8 end with a star vault and wall templates like in the nave. The windows show figural glass paintings around 1930. The vault paintings show the adoration of the Eucharist by the painter Toni Kirchmayr (1929) in the choir and the picture Rosary Donation, Holy Trinity with the two Johns in a ceiling mirror over three yokes, St. Wendelin, and in the aisles scenes from the Old and New Testament by the painter Franz Altmutter (1792).

The former widum was removed in 1977. The Gothic basement was preserved and converted into a mortuary hall.

Furnishing

Josef Bachlechner the Elder (1907) created the high altar as a winged altar in the neo-renaissance style . The altar shows John of Patmos on the shrine relief and Wendelin and John the Baptist on the wing reliefs . The outer wings show the Annunciation and the figures Isidor and Notburga on the side. The side altars date from the middle of the 19th century. The left side altar shows Johannes Nepomuk by the painter Johann Georg Witwer from the late 18th century on the altar sheet . The right side altar shows on the altar sheet Antonius before Maria from the 17th century and on the cafeteria the picture Herz Jesu from the end of the 18th century.

The baroque pulpit from the third quarter of the 18th century shows the symbols of the four evangelists and the four church fathers. There are two figural shrines from the end of the 18th century. The lecture cross is from the first half of the 18th century. The plague cross is from the beginning of the 18th century. The choir stalls were designated 1727. The station pictures are from the 18th century.

The organ building company Reinisch-Pirchner built a new organ in 1965 using parts of the organ by Franz Weber from 1850. Bartlme Graßmayr cast a bell in 1700 .
