The Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra Berlin ( PKB ) is an orchestra with changing personal and instrumental line-ups. Michael Zukernik is the founder and director .

The PKB worked together with artists such as Guy Braunstein , Emmanuel Pahud , Wenzel Fuchs , Anna Prohaska , Michael Barenboim , Andreas Conrad , Andrei Gawrilow , Yury Revich , Olga Scheps and Kirill Troussov . The concerts are held in the Philharmonie Berlin , the Konzerthaus Berlin , the Gewandhaus zu Leipzig as well as the French Cathedral Berlin and the Berlin Cathedral . In Switzerland the concerts take place in the Tonhalle Zurich , the Victoria Hall and in the Kultur Casino Bern .

The PKB already toured South Korea and China touring, including concerts found in the Opera House in Shanghai , the cultural center of Beijing and the concert hall of the Forbidden City in Beijing.

In 2015, the PKB played a special concert series with well-known film music from various genres. Including music by John Williams , Nino Rota , Ernest Gold , Klaus Badelt , Danny Elfman and Maurice Jarre .

The PKB has organized national and international master classes for orchestra conductors every year since 2003. The course leaders include conductors such as Jorma Panula , Gennadi Roschdestwenski , Leif Segerstam , Gustav Meier , János Fürst , Eri Klas , Michail Jurowski , Rolf Reuter and Colin Metters . Students from all over the world take part in the master classes. The courses take place in various European cities such as Berlin , Moscow and Saint Petersburg .
