Philipp Heinrich Bürgy

Philipp Heinrich Bürgy (born March 30, 1759 in Nieder-Florstadt ; † March 1, 1824 in Dornholzhausen ) was the second son of the organ builder Johann Conrad Bürgy .

Life

Bürgy was born in Nieder-Florstadt in 1759. After his father's death in 1792 he continued his organ building tradition. Together with his brothers, including Johann Georg Bürgy , he built some valuable organs in the Central Hesse region under the Bürgy brothers, some of which are still preserved today. In 1812 Philipp Heinrich Bürgy moved to Dornholzhausen and continued to run the workshop from there.
