Pierre François Lehaen SDB (born January 17, 1908 in Neerpelt , Belgium , † April 26, 1993 ) was a Belgian religious and Roman Catholic bishop of Sakania .

Life

Pierre François Lehaen joined the religious order of the Salesians of Don Bosco in and received on 30 July 1933, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On February 12, 1959, Pope John XXIII appointed him . the titular bishop of Hyllarima and Apostolic Vicar of Sakania. The Vicar Apostolic of Katanga , Jozef Floribert Cornelis OSB , donated him episcopal ordination on May 31 of the same year ; Co-consecrators were the Vicar Apostolic of Kabgayi , André Perraudin MAfr , and the Vicar Apostolic of Luluabourg , Bernard Mels CICM .

Pierre François Lehaen was due to the elevation of the Apostolic Vicariate Sakania for on November 10, 1959 the diocese first bishop of Sakania. On June 15, 1973 Pope Paul VI took. the resignation submitted by Lehaen.

Lehaen participated in all four sessions of the Second Vatican Council .
