Pieter Heemeryck (born December 11, 1989 in Vilvoorde ) is a Belgian duathlete and triathlete . He is a multiple national champion.

Career

In 2012, Pieter Heemeryck was third in the U23 European Duathlon Championship as part of the Powerman Holland .

In 2014 he became Belgian champion in the short distance triathlon and in 2015 he was also national champion in the middle distance. Pieter Heemeryck has been part of the DOMO-Scott Triatlon Team since 2016 . In September 2016 he won the Ironman 70.3 Lanzarote .

In 2017 he finished third in the Challenge World Bonus, which was part of the Challenge World Series, and in 2018 he finished fourth here.

In 2019 he was again Belgian champion in the middle distance triathlon after 2015. In October 2019, the 29-year-old won his fourth half-distance race of the 2019 season with the Challenge Peguera Mallorca .

Pieter Heemeryck won the 2019 World Challenge Series with five wins and a second place and he received the prize money of 30,000 US dollars; next to the Australian Radka Kahlefeldt for women.
