Zoltan Pito
Zoltan Pito (born August 8, 1974 in Csíkszereda , Transylvania ) is an Austrian composer , guitarist , guitar teacher, music teacher , arranger , author and music producer .
Life
Early years
Zoltan Pito was already on stage in 1977 at the age of two and has since toured in Transylvania with various choirs and with a youth drama group, with which he achieved first place in a state competition in 1987. From the age of ten he took guitar lessons at a state music school. In 1987 he emigrated to Austria with his parents, where he was initially self-taught to learn to play the guitar. At the age of 17 he made a name for himself in the Austrian music scene as a studio guitarist and has since played on more than 500 albums. Since 1999 he has played guitar workshops all over Europe, including for the American company Line 6 , and for the American guitar manufacturer Music Man .
Training and educational activities
He studied in Munich in 1996 at the Munich Guitar Institute, which he graduated with a diploma in 1997. He completed several guitar seminars with Walter Haberl (from the Salzburg Mozarteum ). From 2002 to 2003 he studied instrumental and vocal pedagogy at the Vienna Conservatory in Vienna and graduated with unanimous distinction in half of the specified period of study. In 2003 and 2004 he studied jazz guitar with Christian Havel at the Vienna Conservatory in Vienna, which he graduated with a diploma. In 2003 he founded the music education project Music is life, life is music with a focus on popular music, and toured many Austrian schools with it from 2003 to 2006. In 2005 Zoltan Pito composed the musical EINZIGARTIG , which was released on CD in 2007 and on DVD in 2008. From 2009 to 2012 he taught music education, baroque alto flute, ensemble and guitar at the Educational Institute for Kindergarten Pedagogy at the Congregation of School Sisters of the 3rd Order of St. Francis of Assisi in Amstetten . Since 1995 Zoltan Pito has been teaching the Ybbs electric guitar, youth choir, singing, ukulele and ensemble at the Neuhofen Music School . Zoltan Pito has been director of the Ostarrichi Music School in Neuhofen an der Ybbs since 2016.
Band discography
Mac Animal
He co-founded the heavy rock band Mac Animal in 1992 , with whom he got his first recording contract with ATS Records. They produced two CDs: Party on dudes in 1994 and Animalized in 1996. Most of the songs were written by him; he played all the guitars in the studio himself. Already at the age of 17 Pito appeared with Mac Animal in the opening act of the Scottish band Nazareth on the No-Jive tour in Garsten in 1991 .
King size
From 1997 to 1999 he was a member of the Austrian rock band King Size . He played the 10th anniversary tour with them at major festivals across Europe such as the Sziget Festival in Budapest, the Danube Island Festival in Vienna or the Jesolo Festival.
In 1997 he played with King Size in the opening act for Toto and Manfred Mann's Earth Band at Burg Clam in Austria. In 1999 he played with King Size as the opening act for Steve Lukather on his solo tour in Mayrhofen. With King Size he recorded the Greatest and latest CD in 1999 and was instrumental in the composition.
The Trade feat. Zoltan Pito
Zoltan Pito has been the singer, arranger , composer and guitarist of the band The Trade feat. Zoltan Pito . They played as opening act for the Scottish band Nazareth on their Road Trip Tour 2009 in Amstetten and Jon Lord from Deep Purple on the Jon Lord Blues Project tour 2011 .
Projects and guest appearances
Since 2005 he toured mainly with his band Zoltan Pito's Bossa Nova Quintet . Other projects are:

Zoltan played again as a guest soloist with the Hague Symphonic Wind Orchestra. As a guest musician, he also performed with the Amstettner Symphony Orchestra.

style
As a sought-after live and studio guitarist, he has mastered many different styles from country music , funk , soul pop, rock to metal and jazz . He is known for his very fast and virtuoso playing technique, but also for soulful melodies. According to his own statements, he was musically inspired by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart , Johann Sebastian Bach , Stevie Ray Vaughan , Joe Satriani and Yngwie Malmsteen . As a sought-after commissioned composer, Zoltan Pito writes for companies such as B. dm-drogerie markt advertising jingles.
