Plotha is a district of the unified municipality of Teuchern in the Burgenland district in Saxony-Anhalt . He belongs to the village of Prittitz .

Geographical location

Prittitz is located southwest of Weißenfels and northwest of the city of Teuchern. The Kötschbach, a tributary of the Saale, runs through the village .

history

The place was mentioned as early as 1161. Various secular and spiritual rulers owned the place. The larger part of the village to the left of the Kötschbachs (Kaitzbachs) belonged, according to a description in a document from Margrave Dietrich von Landsberg of 1278, to the highly penal Naumburg Burgward Schönburg , from which the office of Schönburg developed in the late Middle Ages . The manor in Plotha was mentioned as early as 1472.

In 1544 the part of Plotha to the left of the Kötschbach came with the office of Schönburg to the newly founded Hochstift-Naumburgische Amt Naumburg , with which it belonged to the Electorate of Saxony since 1564 and to the Albertine secondary school- principality of Saxony-Zeitz between 1656/57 and 1718 . The part to the right of the brook belonged to the Electoral Saxon office of Weißenfels (1656/57 to 1746 to the Albertine Secondogeniture Principality of Saxony-Weißenfels ). By the resolutions of the Vienna Congress Plotha 1815 came to Prussia and in 1816 the county Naumburg in the administrative district of Merseburg of the Province of Saxony assigned to the part of the site to the 1944th

As a district of the municipality of Prittitz, Plotha became a district of the locality of Prittitz within the unified municipality of Teuchern by law on January 1, 2011 .
