Poroszló is a Hungarian community in the district Füzesabony in Heves county .

Geographical location

Poroszló is located on the right bank of the river Tisza (Hungarian Tisza ), about 8 kilometers northwest of Tiszafüred , from which it is separated by Lake Tisza ( Tisza-tó ).

The nearest town, Füzesabony , is around 25 km from Poroszló.

history

Even anonymous reported that Árpád at the time of conquest encamped at the castle township. In 1445 the place got market rights. During the Turkish occupation, the monastery with the church from the Arpard period was destroyed. Later a Reformed (1793) and a Catholic (1797) church were built here. Both are still in use today.
