Premier League (Antigua and Barbuda)

The Premier League (formerly: Premier Division ) is the top division of the Antigua and Barbuda Football Association , the national football association of Antigua and Barbuda .

Current mode

The Premier League currently consists of 10 teams that determine the champions of the Antigua and Barbuda Football Association in two legs over 18 matchdays. In addition to the champion, the runner-up also takes part in the CFU Club Championship , the Caribbean club championship, the following season. The two last-placed teams go straight to the First Division, the association's second-highest division. In return, the first two teams in the First Division are promoted directly to the Premier League. The third from bottom plays in a relegation round against two representatives of the First Division for another place in the Premier League of the following season.

Current season

Ten teams took part in the 2017/18 season with the following result.

The Greenbay Hoppers FC were able to secure the championship title of Antigua and Barbuda for the second time. Pigotts Bullets FC and Empire SC were relegated directly to the First Division, Aston Villa FC and Liberta Blackhawks FC immediately promoted. Unfortunately, there are no data on the relegation round (Old Road FC, Fort Road FC, Willikies FC).

Previous masters

The record champions of the Antigua and Barbuda Football Association are Empire FC with 13 titles so far. Overall, the titles played since the 1962 season are divided between the following 14 teams. However, the masters of individual seasons can no longer be determined:
