Pristäblich is a district of the community Laussig in the district of North Saxony in Saxony .

geography

Pristäblich is located on the western edge of the Dübener Heide nature park between the cities of Eilenburg and Bad Düben on Staatsstraße 11 . To the west the Mulde flows past the village, to the east the Pretzsch – Eilenburg railway line passes. There is a small lake to the southeast. The Gröbisch desert is located in the corridor of Pristäblich .

history

The oldest written mention of the place under the name "Mezdorf" comes from the year 1314. In terms of the form of settlement, Pristäblich is both a lane village and a street perch village . Until 1815 the village belonged to the Electoral Saxon or Royal Saxon Office of Eilenburg . As a result of the resolutions of the Congress of Vienna , the place became part of Prussia and was assigned to the Delitzsch district in the Merseburg administrative district of the province of Saxony in 1816, to which it belonged until 1952.

In 1952 the place came to the district of Eilenburg in the district of Leipzig , from 1994 to the district of Delitzsch . On January 1, 1973 Pristäblich was incorporated into Laußig and has been part of the community ever since.

The population of Pristäblich was just over 300 in 1818. By the turn of the century the population rose to almost 400. At the outbreak of the Second World War , the population fell slightly to 316. After the end of the war, the population rose to over 500 in 1946. At the time of GDR, the population decreased again. In 1964 just over 428 people lived in Pristäblich.

Attractions

The village church of Pristäblich dates from the 16th century. This early Renaissance building has a baroque appearance today due to structural changes in the late 17th century. The church tower is crowned with an onion dome. The church has a bronze bell from 1701. The inventory dates from 1789. In the 1960s, lightning struck the church and damaged it considerably. An extensive renovation took place in the 80s. In 1992 the church was rededicated.
