The Provinciale weg 326 (abbreviation as Autoweg : N326 , partly as Autosnelweg : A326 ) is a provincial road in the Dutch province of Gelderland , which leads from Wijchen to Nijmegen .

course

N326 at Keizer Karelplein in Nijmegen

The provincial road begins at the Bankhoef junction of the A50 and runs from there as a motorway to Palkerplein, which is east of the A73 . Originally the A326 led to the junction with the A73, the Knooppunt Lindenholt. The creation of the Palkerplein shortens the length of the motorway section. Since Stadsroute 103 was introduced in 2014, it has been routed from Palkerplein together with the N326. In the municipality of Nijmegen , the Graafsebrug crosses the Maas-Waal Canal . The joint route of the N326 and the S103 ends at Keizer Karelplein. Nijmegen train station can be reached directly from this roundabout . Finally, the street at Keizer Traianusplein crosses Provinciale Weg 325 near the Waalbrücke Nijmegen . This continues to Arnhem and Kleve .

history

The Provincial Road was built on July 12, 1975 as the provinciale route S109 . Until it was closed on July 1, 2003, there was a motorway service station called Rolenhof in the direction of 's-Hertogenbosch , the residues of which can still be seen in the landscape. In 2018, traffic jam warning systems were installed on the A50 and A326 . The costs for the test trials amounted to 50,000 euros.
