The provinciale weg 325 ( autoweg for short: N325, in sections also A325) is a Dutch road in the province of Gelderland , which runs from Arnhem to the German border near Nijmegen , where it merges into the German federal highway 9 .

Until 1993 the street was called Rijksweg 52, then it was transferred to the province's area of responsibility and received the name that is still valid today.

The RijnWaalpad rapid cycle route runs along the road and connects the city centers of Arnhem and Nijmegen.

The route is an important link in the Arnhem-Nijmegen urban region. The N325 begins at Knooppunt Velperbroek der ( A12 ) north of Arnhem and is called here Pleyroute (or Pleijweg). As a 2x2-lane road , the N325 crosses the Nederrijn over the Andrei-Sakharov Bridge, which was completed in 1987 .

Between Arnhem and Knooppunt Ressen near Nijmegen, the route becomes a motorway, on which a maximum speed of 100 km / h applies.

Behind the Knooppunt Ressen to Keizer Traianusplein, the N325 is managed by the municipality of Nijmegen. The route used to be a motorway, but was downgraded because of the construction of a housing estate and the associated new construction of roads that could not be built without crossing. Although the section is expanded to 2x2 lanes, it is limited to a maximum speed of 50 km / h. This is to avoid traffic jams on the route and in the city center and reduce noise pollution. The former hard shoulder, which is still left of the motorway, has been converted into a bus lane.

The route to the east of Nijmegen runs past Keizer Traianusplein. Passing Beek , drive in the direction of Kleve to the German border, where it turns into Bundesstraße 9.
