The Rijksweg 30 (abbreviation: RW 30 ) - Short form: Autosnelweg 30 (abbreviation: A30 ) - is a Dutch motorway between Barneveld ( A1 ) and Ede ( A12 ). The road has two by two lanes over the entire route.

The Rijksweg A30 near Barneveld

In the past, this road only connected the Rijksweg A1 with the N224 near Ede-Noord and was not yet a motorway. It was therefore called N30. After that it was called for a long time 'A30' between Barneveld and Lunteren and 'N30' between Lunteren and Ede-Noord. In 2001, the widening of Rijksweg 30 to a motorway began and it was finally fully expanded until it joins the A12 . On July 12, 2004, this expanded line was opened to traffic.

Planning

It is planned that the A30 will run past Nijkerk to Flevoland to the A27 near Almere . But there is a large nature reserve around Nijkerk, which is currently hindering planning. An extension to the south is also being considered. Then the A30 could be connected to the A15 by means of a bridge over the Rhine .

Another suggestion comes from the VNO-NCW. She suggests that the A30 branches off the A28 at the Amersfoort -Vathorst exit and then runs as a ring around Vathorst. Then it continues to the A1 .
