The Qutlughchanids were a Muslim dynasty in the Iranian Kirman , which ruled between 1222 and 1306. It came from the Kara Kitai of Transoxania and was first under the suzerainty of the Khorezm Shahs and then under that of the Mongols . The founder of the dynasty, named Baraq, had converted to Islam and was given the title of Qutlugh Sultan and rule over Kirman by the Abbasid caliph .

The last Qutlughchanid ruler Soyurghatmisch clashed with the Ilkhan because of tribute payments and was deposed by Öldscheitü in 1305 . Soyurghatmisch's daughter married Mubariz ad-Din Muhammad, the founder of the Muzaffarid rule. Kirman then consequently passed into Mubariz ad-Din's possession.
