Röbersdorf is a district of the Hirschaid market in the Upper Franconian district of Bamberg with a good 800 inhabitants.
geography
Neighboring places are Erlach , Köttmannsdorf and Sassanfahrt in the east, Rothensand (all three Markt Hirschaid) in the south and Schlüsselau (municipality of Frensdorf) and Frensdorf in the west . The Reiche Ebrach flows through Röbersdorf and flows into the Regnitz.
history
The place was mentioned in 1109 as "Rodenwinesdorf" (village of Rodwin). In the days of the Hochstift, with all its rights and duties, it was overshadowed by the Schluesselau Monastery, which was founded around 1280 . A former parish is occupied by the pastor Arnold von Rodewinesdorf as early as 1194, which was dissolved in the turmoil of the Reformation. Today Röbersdorf is parish to Schlüsselau. The year 1472 on the church tower indicates when it was built together with a parish church. The tower is integrated into the new building from 1975. A parish school had existed since at least 1656; School buildings were constructed in 1654, 1818, 1904 and 1967.
On May 1, 1978, the previously independent community of Röbersdorf was incorporated into the Hirschaid market.
brewery
The Weber brewery, which was closed in 2017, was located in the village. The beer is still produced using the contract brewing process.
