Rachel Katherine DiPillo (* 26. January 1991 in Flint , Michigan ) is an American actress . She gained fame primarily through the role of Dr. Sarah Reese from the Chicago Med series and its crossover series.

life and career

Rachel DiPillo was born in the city of Flint, Michigan, USA. She then grew up near Nashville , Tennessee . She was interested in art and acting from an early age. During her senior year of high school, she was discovered by a casting agent who worked for Disney . He advised her to focus on an acting education. Within a year of moving to California, she got her first film and television roles. Her first role in front of the camera was in 2009 in the series Big Time Rush , in which she appeared in seven episodes until 2010. For the first time in a film she appeared in the musical drama Elle: Sing for Your Dream in 2010 in a small role. In the same year she was cast as Lexi Wade in a supporting role for the series The Gates , which was discontinued after only one year. She then appeared in the series Law & Order: LA Hawthorne , The Ropes , Revenge , Bones , Emily Owens , Mad Men and Navy CIS in guest roles. In 2013 she starred in the web series Wendy as Fawn in a supporting role. In 2014, Backstage Magazine ranked her fifth in the top 30 emerging young actors.

In 2014 DiPillo played a central role as Laura in the independent film Hello, My Name Is Frank . In 2015 she was cast as Andie in a minor role in the first season of Jane the Virgin . She was also in front of the camera for a pilot episode of the US counterpart to the British comedy series Cuckoo on NBC . The series didn't go into production after all. From 2015 to 2018 she was in the role of Dr. Sarah Reese part of the main cast of the first three seasons of Chicago Med . In this role she was also seen in the series Chicago Fire and Chicago PD .
