Raden ( Radom in Lower Sorbian ) is part of the municipality of Preschen , a district of the municipality of Neisse-Malxetal in the Brandenburg district of Spree-Neisse .
location
Raden is located in the north of the municipality of Neisse-Malxetal between Preschen and Groß Bademeusel , which already belongs to the town of Forst / Lausitz . It is connected to Döbern by the 7116 district road . Federal motorway 15 runs not far to the north .
history
Raden was first mentioned in 1572 under the name Rahden . The place name comes from a Sorbian personal name, probably from a former owner of the village or the founder of the village. On April 1, 1939, Raden was forcibly incorporated into the neighboring Preschen by the National Socialists . After the end of the Second World War , the incorporation was reversed and Raden existed as an independent municipality until the place was incorporated into Preschen on December 1, 1966. Preschen, in turn, was merged with four other municipalities on December 31, 2001 to form the new municipality of Neisse-Malxetal .
