Unterbernbach is a parish village and part of the market Kühbach in the district of Aichach-Friedberg , which belongs to the administrative district of Swabia in Bavaria . The suburb of Unterbernbach also includes the village of Radersdorf Bahnhof and the hamlet of Rettenbach .

geography

Unterbernbach is located in the Danube-Isar hill country and thus in the lower Bavarian hill country, which is part of the Alpine foothills , one of the main natural areas of Germany .

Unterbernbach is four kilometers north of Kühbach. Rettenbach is about 1 km to the north-west, Radersdorf train station is about one km to the south-west of Unterbernbach.

Radersdorf Bahnhof and Unterbernbach are located in the valley of the Paar flowing in a southwest-northeast direction . To the east of Unterbernbach, the Hackengraben , which rises west of Haslangkreit, flows into the Paar as a right tributary. To the south of Rettenbach and through Unterbernbach flows the Schreierbach , which rises south of Koppenzell and then flows northeast of Unterbernbach as a left tributary into the Paar.

Past Radersdorf train station and through Unterbernbach, the district road AIC 5 runs along the Paartal valley from Radersdorf to the district boundary, where it turns into the district road ND 3 .

Radersdorf train station and Unterbernbach are on the Paartalbahn from Augsburg to Ingolstadt with the Radersdorf train station and the alternative junction of the sawmill Heggenstaller Anton AG (part of Pfeifer Holding since 2005 ) in Unterbernbach, which has its own siding.

history

The Catholic parish of Sankt Martin in Unterbernbach belongs to the deanery Aichach-Friedberg in the diocese of Augsburg. The parish also includes the villages of Radersdorf Bahnhof and Rettenbach.

Until July 1, 1972, Unterbernbach with its districts Radersdorf Bahnhof, Reifersdorf , Rettenbach, Schönau and Taxberg belonged as an independent municipality to the Upper Bavarian district of Aichach and then came to the newly founded Swabian district of Aichach-Friedberg as part of the regional reform in Bavaria . On January 1, 1978, the incorporation of Unterbernbach, Rettenbach and Radersdorf Bahnhof in the market Kühbach. Reifersdorf, Schönau and Taxberg came to Inchenhofen .
