Radzymin is in the affluent suburbs of Warsaw located town in wołomin county , Mazovia Province .

Neighboring communities
Radzymin is located about 25 kilometers east of Warsaw and about ten kilometers northwest of Wołomin .
history
Radzymin was founded in 1440 by Boleslaw of Mazovia . The town received its town charter as early as 1475. Due to its close proximity to Warsaw, the history of Radzymin is similar to that of Warsaw .
The city was also the site of two battles in the first half of the 20th century, in 1920 in the Polish-Soviet War and in 1944 in World War II .
Before the Second World War, 2,200 Jews lived in the city, that was half of the population. The Jews were ghettoized by the Germans in 1940 and murdered in the Treblinka extermination camp in 1942 .
From 1975 to 1998 the municipality was part of the Warsaw Voivodeship .
