Raichana Valiullowna Kunakowa ( Russian Райхана Валиулловна Кунакова ; born September 9, 1946 in the settlement Bljawtamak between Mednogorsk and Kuwandyk ) is a Soviet - Russian chemist and university professor .

Life

Kunakowa was the youngest daughter of a Bashkir peasant family. Her father Valiulla Turkejewitsch Kunakow made the German-Soviet war as a soldier in the Red Army as far as Berlin and then worked in the collective farm . All children received a college education.

Kunakowa attended secondary school No. 6 in Mednogorsk with graduation in 1964 and then studied in Sverdlovsk at the Ural Polytechnic Institute with graduation in 1969. After that, she worked in a factory in Ufa .

1970 Kunakowa began postgraduate at the Institute of Chemistry of the Bashkir Branch of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR in Ufa at Genrich Alexandrovich Tolstikov whose aspirant Ussein Memetowitsch Dschemilew was her teacher. In 1973 she became a research assistant at the Institute for Chemistry. In 1974 she successfully defended her dissertation on the synthesis of thiacyclane for her doctorate as a candidate in chemical sciences.

Kunokowas research priorities were the metal complex - catalysis and the natural biopolymer materials. For the organic sulfur compounds she found new chemical reactions and developed new methods for the heterocyclization of the dienes and alkynes in order to obtain practically important thioethers , sulfoxides, and sulfones . She developed materials for the tannery . In 1989 Kunakowa successfully defended her doctoral thesis on new reactions and methods of synthesizing organic sulfur compounds with homogeneous metal complex catalysts for her doctorate in chemical sciences.

From 1990 onwards, Kunakowa taught at the Ufa Technological Institute for Service (now the Ufa State University for Economics and Service) and from 1991 onwards, when appointed professor, headed the chair for special chemical technology. The main focus of her work was the fermentation process of wine production . In 1994 she became dean and in 1997 prorector for scientific work (until 2003). She supervised 20 candidate dissertations and 2 doctoral dissertations. She is the author or co-author of more than 360 scientific papers (including 124 patents ). In 1998 she was elected a Corresponding Member and in 2012 a full member of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Bashkortostan (AN-RB), of which she became Vice President in 2011. She is a board member of the Society of Bashkir Women.
