Railaco Leten ( Railako Leten , "Upper Railaco" ) is an East Timorese Suco in the Railaco administrative office ( municipality of Ermera ).

Railaco Leten School

Before the 2015 regional reform, Railaco Leten had an area of 13.49 km². Now there are 13.28 km². The Suco is located in the east of the Railaco administrative office. To the west is the Suco Railaco Craic , to the north the Sucos Taraco and Deleso and east of the Suco Samalete . In the south, Ralaco Leten borders on the Aileu administrative office ( municipality of Aileu ) with its Suco Seloi Craic . In the north, Railaco Leten extends to the river Balele , in the west of the Sucos the Buamara rises . Both are headwaters of the Rio Comoros . The overland road that connects the municipal capital Gleno with the city of Aileu in the east follows the southern border of Railaco Leten.

The villages Colhuinamo ( Kotohuinamo ), Manuponihei ( Manuponhei ), Tuileso ( Toileso ) and Darema ( Dorema ) lie along a small road through the center of Sucos . Tunlero is also located in the northeast . In Suco there is a primary school ( Escola Primaria No. 246 Railaco Laten ) and a medical station.

In the Suco there are the five Aldeias Colhuinamo , Darema , Manuponihei , Tuileso and Tunlero .

Residents

1379 inhabitants (2015) live in the Suco, of which 698 are men and 681 women. The population density is 103.8 inhabitants / km². There are 205 households in the Suco. Almost 54% of the population name Mambai as their mother tongue. Almost 45% speak Tetum Prasa and a small minority speak Tokodede .

politics

In the elections of 2004/2005 was Cristalina Quintão elected Chefe de Suco and in 2009 re-elected. She is one of only nine women in the country in this position.
