Kinga Rajda (born December 22, 2000 in Bielsko-Biała ) is a Polish ski jumper .
Career
Kinga Rajda starts for LKS Sokół Szczyrk . Her international career began in two FIS Cup competitions on August 29 and 30, 2014 in Frenštát , in which she took 20th place twice. Since then, other participations have followed regularly.
On January 18, 2015, Rajda made her debut in the Ski Jumping Continental Cup with her participation in two competitions in Falun , in which she finished 17th and 16th. On December 4, 2015, Rajda's debut in the ski jumping World Cup took place in Lillehammer ; However, she finished this competition with 36th place outside of the points. On January 30th, Rajda entered the Ski Jumping World Cup again in Oberstdorf and won her first World Cup point by finishing 30th, placing her 53rd in the overall season standings .
In August 2015 and twice in July 2016, Rajda won three FIS Cup competitions in Szczyrk . As a result of this and other good results, she took overall victory in the FIS Cup in the 2015/16 season. Furthermore, she won the FIS-Carpath-Cup in the 2015/16 season after she had already achieved second place in the overall ranking in the 2013/14 season.
At the Polish Championships 2014 in Szczyrk , Rajda won the bronze medal on October 11, 2014. At the 2016 championships on March 13, 2016, she even won the gold medal by a large margin.
At the 2016 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Lillehammer , Rajda took seventh place in the individual and ninth place in the team ranking with the Polish youth team. She then took part in the 2016 Junior World Championships in Râşnov , Romania , and finished twelfth in the individual and eleventh with the Polish mixed team. She also took part in the Junior World Championships in the following years. In 2017 she was 13th in the individual and seventh with the mixed team in Park City in the USA , 48th in the individual in 2018 in Kandersteg, Switzerland , eighth with the mixed and ninth with the women's team and 25th in 2019 in Lahti, Finland . in singles, eighth with the women's and ninth with the mixed team.
On February 10, 2019, Rajda reached the points of a World Cup jumping for the second time in her career on the Logarska dolina in Ljubno, Slovenia . At the 2019 World Championships in Seefeld in Tirol , she was 34th in singles and sixth in the Polish mixed relay. In the summer of 2019, Rajda reached the podium in the Continental Cup for the first time in third place in Szczyrk . In winter, she did not start in the World Cup in Sapporo until mid-January . There she jumped to 21st place, with which she achieved her best World Cup result to date. In the following weeks she established herself in the World Cup and consistently reached the points. She achieved something historic in Oberstdorf at the beginning of February when she was sixth with jumps on 128 and 127 meters from the Schattenbergschanze . This was not only the best placement of a Polish woman in the World Cup until then, but was generally the first time that a Polish athlete jumped into the top 20 and thus received prize money.
