Ralf Rehberger

Ralf Rehberger (born October 20, 1967 in Speyer ) is a German basketball coach .

Career

Rehberger began his coaching career in 1993 as an assistant coach at TSV Speyer. In 1994 he moved to TSV Lich, where he also worked as an assistant coach. His first coach station as a head coach , he entered 1996 with VfB Gießen. Two years later he moved to Eintracht Frankfurt , also as head coach . In 2000 Avitos Gießen hired him as an assistant trainer, at the same time he was head trainer at the cooperation partner of the Gießen company, Avitos Lich.

In January 2003 he switched to the women's basketball Bundesliga club BC Marburg as assistant coach . With this he celebrated his first major successes under head coach Uwe Scheidemann by winning the championship and the cup . In 2003 Rehberger switched to the Eurotech Baskets Feldkirch in Austria as head coach. From 2004 to 2010 he was employed as an assistant coach for the Artland Dragons in Quakenbrück . There he was runner-up and vice -cup winner in 2007 and BBL cup winner in 2008 . From 2010 to 2012 he was head coach of the JBBL team and from December 2011 head coach of TSV Quakenbrück in the 2nd women's division. From December 19, 2013, he was assistant coach at the German first division club s.Oliver Baskets from Würzburg. In 2014/2015, Rehberger was head coach of BG Karlsruhe (2nd Bundesliga Pro B) and assistant coach of the German national team. From July 2015 he was head coach of the MTV Wolfenbüttel Dukes in the 2. Bundesliga Pro B . At the beginning of December 2016, after five defeats in a row and a fall to the penultimate place in the ProB Nord table, the split occurred. In the official press release of the Wolfenbütteler Verein, “personal reasons” were listed as a reason for separation. A day later, Rehberger was announced as the new coach at Wolfenbüttel's league competitor Rostock Seawolves .

In the 2017/18 season, Rehberger led Rostock to the runner-up in the 2nd Bundesliga ProB and thus to promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga ProA. Shortly after the end of the season in May 2018, Rostock announced the separation from Rehberger. During the summer break of 2018, Regionalliga promoted Baskets Wolmirstedt announced Rehberger's commitment as head coach. He worked in Wolmirstedt for a year and was third with the team in the 1st Regionalliga Nord.
