The margin is a contemporary literature magazine with a special focus on poetry.

The magazine

The literature booklet margin was first published in 2009 by Simone Kornappel and Philipp Günzel in Hamburg . As a magazine for contemporary literature, it was initially published twice a year; meanwhile only one issue will be published in Berlin towards the end of the year . With the publication of issue 6-7-8 in the summer of 2016, the team dissolved the previous structure of publishers and editorial staff; the magazine's team currently includes Andreas Bülhoff, Peter Dietze, and Simone Kornappel.

In addition to poetry , prose and essays by German-speaking contemporary authors , foreign-language texts are also printed as translations in each issue (previously by Tanya Färg , George Oppen , Bruce Andrews , Dmitry Golenko and Charles Bernstein, among others ). The second issue also presented a number of Romanian poets from the 1980s.

In the fifth issue of the paragraph, previously unpublished poems by Walter Höllerer that the poet Tom Bresemann discovered in the German Literature Archive in Marbach were printed . Together with Höllerer's widow, the photographer Renate von Mangoldt , the poems were presented a. a. in the Berlin literary house Lettrétage . The illustrations for this booklet were made by the Berlin artist Petrus Akkordeon.

Authors such as Luise Boege , Ron Winkler , Ann Cotten , Richard Duraj , Brigitte Oleschinski , Mara Genschel , Alexander Gumz , Angelika Janz , Katharina Schultens , Jan Skudlarek and Charlotte Warsen also published texts in the literature booklet as well as Sabine Scho , Konstantin Ames , Hendrik Jackson , Norbert Lange , Daniel Falb , Dieter M. Gräf or Bülent Kacan .
