Raymond Eugene Willis (born August 11, 1875 in Waterloo , DeKalb County , Indiana , †  March 21, 1956 in Angola , Indiana) was an American politician ( Republican Party ) who represented the state of Indiana in the US Senate .

Raymond Willis first attended public schools and graduated from Wabash College in Crawfordsville in 1896 . He then completed an apprenticeship as a printer in Waterloo, before moving to Angola in Steuben County in 1898 and working there in the newspaper industry. From 1910 to 1914 he was the city's postmaster; during the First World War he was between 1917 and 1918 the Defense Council of Steuben County.

In 1919 Willis became a member of the Indiana House of Representatives , of which he was a member until 1921. His next candidacy for political office was not until 1938, but he missed the election in the US Senate. Two years later, he ran for the second seat in the Senate of Indiana, defeating Democratic incumbent Sherman Minton . After six years he did not run for re-election, so he left Congress on January 3, 1947 . Willis then headed the Steuben Printing Company as president and was a member of the board of trustees of the Tri-State College in Angola.
